On 8th November 2023, I will be hitchhiking from Sheffield to Glasgow, relying totally on the kindness of strangers, for charity with Bummit Society (the biggest charity hitchhike in the UK and the world's largest student organised)! Over previous years, a total of over £1.1 million has been raised through this society, towards a variety of excellent charities!
This year, we are raising money for charities including The Snowdrop Project, Cavendish Cancer Care, SAGE and Urban Roots. These are all great causes so any donation, big or small, will go a long way!
The snowdrop project-
The snowdrop project is a South Yorkshire based charity that provides long term holistic support to empower survivors of human trafficking in the UK to recover from their past and rebuild their future.
Cavendish Cancer Care-
Cavendish Cancer Care have been providing support to people affected by cancer for over 30 years, offering support to those diagnosed or recovering from cancer as well as to friends and family members affected.
SAGE-
SAGE provides therapeutic arts and horticulture programmes for people whose lives have been affected by mental illness.
Urban Roots-
Urban Roots is a Glasgow based, community led environmental charity who aim to address neighbourhoods and environmental concerns, working with local neighbourhoods to improve living conditions in Glasgow.
Thank you so much for your support!!!
Special thanks to Mandi, Tony, Lewis, Andy, Leica, Charlotte and Callum for giving us lifts and great company along the way :)
