Hi, we are 2023/24&#x27;s Bummit Committee at Sheffield University. On March 23rd along with over 120 students we are hitchhiking to Porto, Portugal for Charity! Through Sheffield RAG we have chosen to support 4 local Sheffield charities and one charity in Porto.This year&#x27;s big bummit is supporting:The Snowdrop Project: A South Yorkshire based charity that provides long term holistic support to empower survivors of human trafficking in the UK to recover from their past and rebuild their future. Weston Park Cancer Charity: Supporting those living with cancer and their loved ones. They offer a range of support services including free transport service to access treatment.Ben&#x27;s Centre: Provides a safe place for those suffering with substance abuse. The only damp centre in Sheffield meaning individuals can access support whilst under the influence. Sayit: Provides wellbeing support to young LGBTQ+ people in Sheffield, including sexual health education and social opportunities for those affected by HIV. Bancoalimentar Porto: A national foodbank and social support organisation. The foodbank supports 55,000 people across Porto. Any donations are greatly appreciated! :)

BummComm's Big Bummit to Porto

On April 1st, myself and Noah will be taking part in a charity hitchhike from Sheffield all the way to Ljubljana in Slovenia! Bummit is charity managed by students at the University of Sheffield which has been running since 2003 supporting local charities for 20 years!!! I'm aiming to raise £250 for Sheffield RAG which will be donated to 4 local Sheffield charities and one Slovenian charity too!The money raised will benefit the following charities; 'Assist Sheffield' and their 'City of Sanctuary' project supporting asylum seekers in Sheffield.'The Sick Childrens Trust' and their 'Magnolia House' project supporting seriously ill children and their families.'Roundabout' Sheffield, a youth housing charity helping young people with shelter, support and life skills who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.'Broomhall Homework Club' providing educational support for children from the most deprived areas of Sheffield.‘Legebrita’ a Slovenia-based charity that supports LGBT individuals, communities and people living with HIV.Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will help such incredible causes - and if that’s not enough to make you donate I have to put up with Noah for a full week!!!The link to Noahs fundraising page too -&nbsp;<a href="https://givestar.io/gs/QDKHIMM" style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">https://givestar.io/gs/QDKHIMM</a>📷ReplyForward
