Hello, Welcome to our page! Thank you in advance for any donations :)
Between the 1st - 8th April 2023 we will be taking part in Bummit (the world's largest charity hitchhike) as part of the University of Sheffield's RAG week.
Over 8 days we will be travelling 1,800km by thumb all the way from our Student's Union to Ljubljana in Slovenia!
All the money raised will be equally donated across these 5 amazing charities:
• Roundabout is a local youth housing charity providing shelter, support and life skills to young people ages 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
• Broomhall Homework Club provides a space for young people in one of the most deprived areas of Sheffield to access computers and support with their studies
• Legebirta is a Slovenia based charity providing accessible, confidential and professional services offering support and empowerment to LGBT individuals, communities and people living with HIV
• The Sick Children's Trust ( Magnolia House) is a safe haven for parents and families of seriously ill children being treated at Sheffield Children's Hospital
• Assist Sheffield ( City of Sanctuary ) is a movement to build a welcoming culture for people seeking sanctuary and providing hospitality
Past year's Bummits have raised over £100,000 so please dig deep and help us smash those records! We will each be working on our own fundraising activities too, watch this space for more details...
