I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 12th October 2025 for Martin House, to hopefully raise some monies for this amazing charityMartin House was our chosen charity for 2025 at work, and when they came and spoke to us about they work they did, it felt very similar to the support my family received for my elder sister Pops, helping families have some normality in their lives.!My sister Pops, passed away in 2018 at the age of 25. At 8 weeks old she developed severe epilepsy, which meant throughout her life we had support from numerous charities, carers, amazing people which helped my family live as normal life as possible, and ensured she lived as full a life as possible! Any donations to help get round the 13 miles would be hugely appreciated XxxThankyou!Xxxxxxxxxx

Silver Cross&#x27; chosen charity for 2025 is Martin House Children&#x27;s Hospice.  This incredible charity provides care for children with life limiting conditions. To raise money for Martin House, a few of the Silver Cross UK Team are taking on the Leeds 10k Abbey Dash on the 30.11.2025.<ul><li>£500 can pay for family to have seven sessions with a qualified counsellor</li><li>£1,500 could help members of our community team visit 10 families at home</li><li>£10,000 could help us provide end of life care for a baby, child or young person.</li><li>£25,000 will run Martin House for 1 day</li><li>£50,000 could fund a clinical nurse specialist for a year.</li></ul>Martin House is also fundraising to refurbish and extend the hospice, with £2 million left to raise to complete the project.Please sponsor our Charity Challenge and support this incredible lifeline to families across Yorkshire.  Any donation is gratefully received, making a significant difference to the many families being supported by Martin House.

The Silver Cross team are supporting a local charity: The Principle Trust Children&#x27;s Charity. Based in Skipton, North Yorkshire the aim of the Charity is to help improve the quality of life of children from across Yorkshire who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, or disabled through the provision of free holidays and respite breaks.
