Every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential and that&#x27;s why on the 12th October 2025, 4 employees of City Year UK, Dean, Hope, Louisa and Sofia, are taking on the challenge of the Manchester Half Marathon to raise awareness and vital funds for our mission, empowering diverse young adults to tackle educational inequality.City Year UK believes in the power of young people to create lasting change. Through a year of full-time volunteering in schools, our mentors provide crucial support to children who are furthest from opportunity, helping them grow academically and personally. At the same time, our mentors develop their own leadership skills, gaining the experience and confidence to become future changemakers.By running this half marathon, we are going the extra mile to support the next generation of mentors and the students they work with.The Manchester Half offers a fantastic route through Old Trafford, Stretford, and Brooklands. With every step, our team is raising awareness for City Year UK’s mission and demonstrating the same commitment, resilience, and teamwork that we instill in our young mentors.
