Back in November, I took part in a charity hitchhike to Glasgow and I&#x27;m going again, this time to Porto.Over the Easter holidays, I will be taking part in the world&#x27;s biggest student-led charity hitchhike, attempting to travel over 1500 miles across Europe, from Sheffield, UK all the way to Porto, Portugal and will be relying soley on the kindness of strangers to do so. With this, our aim is to raise as much money as possible for 5 incredible charities:Weston Park Cancer Charity (https://www.westonpark.org.uk/): Supporting those living with cancer and their loved ones by offering support services and activity to make life during and after cancer easier for people as well as supporting reserach and clinical trials to improve the quality of life of cancer patients.The Snowdrop Project (https://www.snowdropproject.co.uk/): Providing long-term holistic support to empower survivors of human trafficking in the UK to recover from their past and rebuild their future ensuring that no survivour has to rebuild their lives alone.Ben&#x27;s Centre (https://www.benscentre.org/): Providing a safe place for those who suffer substance abuse giving individuals food, drink, clean clothes and washing facilities as well as advice and guidance.SAYiT (https://www.sayit.org.uk/): Offering wellbeing support to young LGBTQ+ people in Sheffield including training for organisations, groups for parents and carers and education for teens and young adults.Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome (https://www.bancoalimentar.pt/): National food bank organisation based in Portugal which provides food to local communities in need, with their Porto based food bank supporting 55,000 people.Any donations, however big or small will be very appreciated and if you can share this link with anyone who may also want to support these amazing causes, that would also be great.Thank you :)

On Wednesday 8th November, I will be taking part in Baby Bummit, the biggest charity hitchhike in the UK. I along with over 200 other students will be relying on the kindness of strangers to get all the way from Sheffield to Glasgow in only 1 day. And in doing so, we are aiming to raise as much money as possible for 4 amazing charities:The Snowdrop Project: a South Yorkshire based charity that provides long-term holistic support to empower survivors of human trafficking in the UK to recover from their past and rebuild their future.Canvendish Cancer Care: provides support to people affected by cancer for over 30 years, offering support to those diagnosed or recovering from cancer as well as to friends and family members affected.SAGE Sheffield: provides therapeutic arts and horticulture programmes for people whose lives have been affected by mental illness.Urban Roots: a Glasgow based, community led environmental charity who aim to address neighbourhoods and environmental concerns, working with local neighbourhoods to improve living conditions in Glasgow.Any donations, however small will be very appreciated and if you can share this link with anyone who may also want to support these amazing causes, that would also be great.Thank you :)
