I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 12th October in support of Bliss, the UK’s leading charity for babies born premature or sick.<div><br></div><div>1 in every 7 babies born in the UK will need specialist neonatal care. That’s around 90,000 babies every year who start life in a neonatal unit instead of their parents’ arms.</div><div><br></div><div>In 2019, my beautiful twin nieces were two of those babies. They arrived six weeks early, weighing just 3.15lb and 3.8lb. Watching my brother Ronnie and his wife Emma go through the emotional rollercoaster of neonatal care made me realise how incredibly tough it is. They missed out on some of the experiences most first-time parents expect, because the girls were in NICU fighting to grow bigger and stronger... and that's exactly what they did. We now have two active, healthy and driven little girls on our hands who are thriving at school and loving life.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>That’s why I’m running for Bliss. This amazing charity works tirelessly to support families like ours, funding life-changing research, and campaigning for improvements in neonatal care across the UK.
