The Golden Girls Three Peaks Challenge4 – bottles of wine later3 – Peaks Challenge (seemed like a good idea at the time)2 – Fantastic Charities (actually 3 but 2 works for our story!)1 – month to go (well it was when we wrote this), best crack on with some trainingWe are all 50 ish(!) and as part of our midlife crisis’s, we decided to set ourselves a challenge that would stretch us both physically and mentally. We have in all seriousness been training hard and really hope we will be able to complete the challenge with the help of knee supports, Neurofen, copious amounts of tea and many Werther’s Originals!!We have chosen 3 fabulous charities to support as we are hot footing it up and down 3 mountains, which just so happen to be in 3 different countries all in 24 hours.Each charity has a special place in our hearts and most of you will know the reasons behind our choices. We have chosen Thames Valley Air Ambulance, Breast Cancer UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.We would love it if you could spare some of your hard-earned cash to support our charities and when we are walking down Scarfell Pike in the pitch black (whoever thought that was a fun idea??) it will give us the inspiration we need to make it to the end of the challenge.Thank you so much in advance.The Golden Girls – Carrie, Stella, Sue and Sarah xxx
