Stu's Bio
My name is Stu. I’m a husband and a father of two boys (8 and 4 years old), and a full-time employee. I'm also an advocate for rare diseases and a carer, driven by the love and determination to give my 4-year-old son, Will, the best shot at a future. Will was born with a rare neurogenetic disorder, known only by its genetic location, SLC6A1, and this journey has become the most important mission of my life. In addition to my family, I’ve got a long-running passion for sports - especially AFL (I'm a long suffering Bombers member), cricket, and golf. Music holds a special place in our lives too, something Will and I connect over in a big way. Together, we’re riding this journey, from Melbourne to Moon (Oklahoma, USA) and Back (Texas, USA), to find a cure that could change everything for Will and others like him.
