We are Tom Davies, Adam Onesti, Daniel Simpson, Stephanie Truman and John Foster, and we all work together in the same team at Lloyd & Whyte Group. On 5th April 2026, the five of us will be stepping well outside our comfort zones to take on the Torbay Sprint Triathlon – a 400m swim, a 19.5km cycle and a 5km run. Three of us are not experienced triathletes and while some of us have experience in one of the disciplines, this will be the first time for four of the team that we have attempted all three in one event. It’s a big challenge, but one we’re excited to tackle in support of two charities that mean a lot to us.
The first is St Margaret’s Hospice, who have been providing expert end-of-life and palliative care for adults and their families for over four decades. They are the main charity supported by our Taunton office, and the work they do for patients and their loved ones at such difficult times is truly inspiring.
The second is Farleigh Hospice, who provide care for anyone living with a life-limiting illness – including cancer, neurological diseases, and chronic heart, lung, or renal conditions. They support people both in their Inpatient Unit and in the comfort of their own homes. This charity is especially close to our hearts due to a personal connection within our team.
We’ll be splitting all donations between these two amazing hospices, and every contribution will go towards helping them continue their vital work for patients and families in need.
