We are Secondoary Fun, a team of two passionate and determined friends embarking on an extraordinary journey across the Atlantic Ocean. Our mission is not just about conquering the waves but also about raising vital funds for three incredible charities: Mind, Dementia Adventure, and T-21. Each of these organisations holds a special place in our hearts, and we need your help to make a difference.
Our Story
Our team is united by a shared commitment to supporting mental health, dementia care, and opportunities for young adults with Down's Syndrome. We have seen firsthand the impact these challenges can have on individuals and their families, and we are determined to do our part to help.
The Challenge
Rowing across the Atlantic is a monumental challenge that tests our physical endurance and mental resilience. We'll be rowing 3,000 miles from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Caribbean. There will even be a period of time where we will be closer to satellites in space than we will be to civilisation! We'll face 30-foot waves and the immense isolation of the open sea. Despite these challenges, we are motivated by a greater purpose: to support the incredible work of Mind, Dementia Adventure, and T-21. We Launch on the 12/12/25.
Why This Fundraiser Matters
- Mind: Provides crucial support for individuals struggling with mental health issues, offering resources and a lifeline for those in need.
- Dementia Adventure: Helps people with dementia stay connected to the outdoors, improving their quality of life through meaningful activities and experiences.
- T-21: A local Stamford charity running a cafe that offers job opportunities and activities for young adults with Down's Syndrome, fostering inclusion and empowerment.
THANK YOU
