In May 2025, I will be trekking to Everest Base Camp with Endeavour Adventures and the University of St Andrews. This sixteen day hike through the Himalayas is in support of Alzheimer's Research UK.
This is an incredible charity that funds research into looking for a cure for Alzheimer's. 1 in 2 people will be affected by dementia in their lifetime, whether this is being directly affected, or having a loved one that suffers from it.
As part of my fundraising efforts, me and a friend will be doing voluntary musical performances at the Fife Dementia Resource Centre in Kirckaldy. We will be playing for Dementia patients along with their friends and family. Our first performance will be on February 7th, and we plan to do them regularly during the lead up to the trek.
