On May 18th, four incredible players from Sale Sharks Women—who are also dedicated staff members of the Sale Sharks Foundation—will be taking on the Great Manchester Run to raise vital funds for the Foundation! 💪🏃‍♀️

At Sale Sharks, we are committed to growing women's rugby in the North, and this campaign is an extension of our ongoing mission to provide more opportunities for women and girls to play the sport we all love. 💙 Northern Rugby Matters, and through our Mission Sharks Primary, Girls Tackle Rugby, and Women’s Centre of Excellence programs, we are creating pathways for the next generation of talented female athletes. It's crucial that we continue to provide a platform for women to compete, succeed, and inspire! ✨🏆

🔹 Laura Perrin : "The women’s team is massive for me, as growing up supporting the club and now the opportunity to represent the club on a match day is a feeling that never gets old. It makes me proud of my rugby journey and proud to be a positive role model for girls at grassroots. Growing the game and making an impact in the North West, inspiring the next generation of talented female athletes."

🔹 Holly Thorpe : "Sale Sharks is so important to me. The women’s team is my family away from my family, and there is nowhere else I’d rather play. Women’s rugby is so important for young girls to see, especially in the North!"

🔹 India Redding: "Sharks Women gave me the opportunity to experience elite-level rugby and play in the best domestic league in the world. It also ignited my passion for the work I do across the whole of the North West. Rugby at Sharks Women is more than just a sport—it's a family, it's a driver for rugby in the North, and it allows young girls and women to see the opportunities that exist in this sport now."

🔹 Nikita Prothero: "The Women's team gave me an opportunity to really find myself as an athlete in the Premiership. The buy-in to the culture up north and how I play my part in that brings me a massive sense of belonging, irrespective of not being from the North West. Being part of the Sharks Community plays such an important role in my life in terms of connections made away from the game, but also the relationships formed through working on the different programmes."
