I'm excited to share that I'm taking on my very first official running event - a 10K at the beautiful Tatton Park! Even more meaningful than the run itself is that I'm doing this to support the Alzheimer's Society, a cause that means the world to me.
This is really personal for me - I've seen firsthand how dementia affects families, having lost my beloved Nana Dorothy, Grandad Marshall, and Uncle Alan to this condition. Some of my family members are currently living with it too, which makes this endeavour even more important to me.
I've been lacing up my running shoes for the past few months, and I figured - what better motivation to keep pushing forward than knowing I can help support families affected by dementia?
