Hey there, thanks so much for checking out my givestar campaign.
This cause is very dear to my heart after losing my Grandad previously to Pancreatic Cancer back in 2016.
My Grandad was beloved and well thought of by all those he encountered and spent most of his time helping others in the community when he wasn't with his family and myself and my brother were very close to my Grandad; spending a lot of time with him and my Nan each week and during school holidays growing up.
So in honour of my Grandad and the great work that Pancreatic Cancer Action does, in assisting with earlier diagnosis and better of quality of life within patients, I am running the Surrey Half Marathon. I have never been very sport or running orientated, having never run more than 5km before I signed up, I know this will be a big challenge; but compared to the difficulties those impacted by cancer face on a daily basis I know this is but a drop in the ocean.
