Running a Marathon in every city in England in a year

I am on a journey of running a marathon in every city in England (55 cities) within one year, documenting each run on strava and in video form (@RoddersRoutes on socials) to raise money for Move Against Cancer. The first one started on 5th July 2025 in Hereford, and the last one will finish on 28th June 2026 in Salisbury.

My mum bravely battled a large B-cell lymphoma that spread across multiple places and whilst she survived, the journey tested every part of our family, a reminder of the quiet, relentless strength it takes to face cancer, not just for those diagnosed but for everyone who loves them.

I'm doing this challenge to see every corner of England, to test both my body and my mind, and to embrace the adventure that comes with pushing beyond comfort, one marathon, once city and one story at a time. I will document the progress on my socials: @RoddersRoutes

There's increasing evidence that moving more during and after cancer treatment can significantly improve physical & mental wellbeing. MOVE is embarking on a mission to support & inspire people to MOVE Against Cancer. They deliver an 8 week online programme for 13-30 year olds diagnosed with cancer. Their 5k Your Way initiative linked with parkrun, is a supportive community for anyone affected by cancer to go along to their local group & walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer on the last Saturday of the month.
