As a serving member of the Royal Navy, I’ve seen first-hand how many veterans struggle after service life ends. For some, the battles continue long after the uniform comes off - whether due to physical injuries, trauma, or the loss of purpose. Too often, these struggles go unseen.
Thats why, in October/November 2025, I’ll be undertaking a formidable challenge: running the entire length of Jordan’s rugged terrain, tackling an ultramarathon each day, over 675km in total, including 23,000m of elevation gain.
The Jordan Trail is renowned for its demanding conditions, I'll be traversing diverse landscapes, from the arid deserts to the mountainous regions, enduring the physical and mental strain of this epic journey.
This challenge isn’t about personal achievement, it’s about honouring the men and women who have served our country with courage and sacrifice.
Through this endurance challenge, I’m doing what I can to stand with our veterans, to say: You’re seen, you’re valued, and you’re not alone.
I’m raising funds for Veterans Coastal Retreats, a non-profit charity dedicated to supporting veterans in real need - those who are struggling the most with the aftermath of their service. This isn't about providing a break for any veteran, but rather offering a vital refuge for those battling trauma, isolation, or hardship.
Veterans Coastal Retreats is set to provide peaceful sanctuaries in Cornwall, where these individuals can rest, recover, and reconnect after the challenges of military life. These retreats will offer not only comfort and tranquility, but also a crucial space for healing, reflection, and renewal - helping veterans rebuild their well-being and rediscover a sense of community and hope.
Your support will directly fund these life-changing retreats. Every donation, no matter the size, truly makes a difference - giving those who’ve given so much a place to find peace, dignity, and strength once again.
Thank you for your generosity.
