I’m stepping into the boxing ring to raise money for Race Against Dementia – a cause that is very close to my heart.
My grandad was sadly affected by dementia, and it slowly took away so many of his memories and pieces of who he was. One of the last things that stayed with him was Fish and Chip Friday. No matter what else slipped away, he always remembered that Friday meant fish and chips. To this day, I can’t eat them on a Friday without thinking of him.
Seeing someone you love fade in this way is heartbreaking, and it’s something far too many families have to go through. When you walk into a room and a man you love and looked up to your whole life doesn't remember who you are. Absolutely heart breaking.
That’s why I’m fighting – not just in the boxing ring, but against dementia itself. Every donation will help fund vital research, give hope to families, and bring us closer to a future free from this cruel disease.
