We are raising money for the Herring House Trust Gt Yarmouth Norfolk by walking and rough camping from John O'Groats to Lands End during the school summer holidays. Herring House Trust is a local charity which helps accomodate and support people in housing crisis and in need of immediate help. They offer housing and support in their 31 room hostel with 24 hour support. They provide secure accomodation and a programme of support to help individuals move out of homelessness into longer term accomodation that best suits their needs.
We both enjoy wild camping and having spent time camping in quite cold conditions we realised how harsh it must be to lead a life on the streets. This has brought us to the decision to raise money for this worthy local cause.
