Electa-scending Everest Base Camp

Created By Electa Clark

In May 2025 I will be completing a 16 day trek to Everest Base Camp for Alzeihmer’s research. Throughout the trek we will gain 9,627 feet in elevation hiking to the highest point at 18,188 feet (4,280 meters). While a challenge, I am ecstatic to be helping lead and organize this amazing trip in support of such an amazing cause. Our goal is to collectively as a team raise over 40,000 pounds for Alziehmer and dementia reasearch.

Today, 1 of 2 people are affected by dementia either by developing the condition or caring for someone affected by it. I witnessed my grandmother suffering and passing from the condition. It was heartbreaking to see a peice of her being taken away bit by bit, and feeling as if we were losing her before she was physically gone. There is currently no cure for alziehmers or dementia conditions, making this research all the more important.

Support and donations towards Alziehmer research can prevent this condition from affecting future families. Research towards a cure gives us hope that future generations won’t have to watch their loved ones fade away in the same way. Every donation no matter how big/small brings us closer to a cure and a world where we can preserve memories, identities and lives. Any donations are extremely appreciated!! Thank you so much for supporting me on this journey!!🧡🧡
