Cycling for Suicide Prevention #59Bergs4Hope

Created By angus pringle

🚴‍♀️ Join Angus and Rob in making a real difference in peoples lives! In July 2024 we are gearing up to tackle the ultimate Belgium cycling challenge:

The Flandrien Challenge. Conquering 59 grueling cobbled Bergs (climbs) and pedaling over 400km in just 3 days!

We are not just doing it for our love of cycling – we are riding with purpose to save lives. It's not a race, it's a challenge. The constant and unrelenting up and down cobbled climbs for days on end is like having to deal with mental illness. It will be physical and mentally challenging, however we will help one another and show that there is HOPE, Hold On Pain Ends.

We are raising funds for two incredible charities:

Baton of Hope, helping to prevent suicide where we work, learn, live and play.

The Canmore Trust, creating safe spaces for lives impacted by suicide.

We tragically lose over 6,000 people a year to suicide in the UK, its the leading cause of death for those under the age of 35.

Angus's brother Andy died by suicide and we have friends and colleagues who have also died by suicide. We don't want sympathy, we want change. To end the stigma around discussing suicide and to support those who have been affected by it.

Every pedal stroke will be fueled by the hope of making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges. Your support means the world to the us and the charities.

Let's pedal towards a brighter future together, one where we have Hope.
