On the 7th of April the bummit committee, along with 130 other students, will be taking on the challenge of hitchhiking from Sheffield to Bratislava. To do this we will be relying completely on the kindness of strangers. The charities we are supporting are:
- Snowdrop Project (provides long term support for survivors of human trafficking)
- City of Sanctuary Sheffield (supports asylum seekers and refugees through their 'Sanctuary Hub'
- Haven (supports children and young people affected by domestic abuse)
- Sheffield S6 food bank (provides emergency food parcels and essential supplies to individuals and families facing financial hardships)
- Iniciatíva Inakost' (leading LGBTQ+ charity based in Bratislava, which raises awareness, influences legislation and supports LGBTQ+ individuals facing discrimination)
