University of Bristol Archery is taking part in the BRIT Challenge to raise funds to support and improve young adult, student and staff mental health, fitness and wellbeing throughout the UK.
With the support of University of Bristol Sport Exercise and Health, we have the opportunity to shoot in our usual training venue for 24 hours continuously. Last year we set ourselves the goal of shooting over 24,000 points in 24 hours, and shot 76,400 points, raising £807. This year we aim to score 100,000 points in 24 hours, shooting continuously from 13:00 on Saturday 5th April to 13:00 on Sunday 6th April.
We will mainly be shooting the popular Portsmouth round, however some archers will be shooting a variety of indoor rounds. We hope participation in the challenge will help to destigmatise mental health and champion equality, diversity and inclusion. We thank everyone who is able to donate and look forward to updating you on our progress!
