University of Bristol Archery is taking part in the BRIT Challenge to raise funds to help support and improve young adult, student and staff mental health, fitness and wellbeing throughout the UK.
The theme of the BRIT Challenge for 2024 is simply the number 24. With the support of University of Bristol Sport Exercise and Health, we have the opportunity to shoot in our usual training venue for 24 hours continuously. We have set ourselves the goal to score 24,000 points in this 24h time period, which we are optimistic that we will meet.
We will mainly be shooting the popular Portsmouth round, however some archers will be shooting a variety of indoor rounds. We will be encouraging all of our archers to take part, taking shifts to ensure continuous shooting through the 24h period. In addition we will run a taster session for students of The University of Bristol to come and try archery in exchange for a donation.
We hope participation in the challenge will help destigmatise mental health and champion equality, diversity and inclusion. We thank everyone who is able to donate to the British Inspiration Trust and look forward to updating you on our progress!
