Hi, I’m Noah, and I’m 11 years old! In 2025, I set myself a challenge to raise money for ADHD UK by running loads of 5km races. I kicked things off with the Whitstable & Herne Bay Spring 5km in March, which was AWESOME (I came 12th overall and smashed my PB!). Unless my mom can find more races (I loved the chipped race, number, AND medal) my next race is the Battersea Park 5K in June, and I’m also running as many Parkruns as I can. ADHD UK is really important to me because I have ADHD, and I want to keep pushing myself while raising awareness.
Having ADHD can be tough sometimes, but one thing that really helps me is running—fast! Exercise isn’t just fun for me; it also helps my brain work better. Science says running boosts important brain chemicals like dopamine and norepinephrine, which help with focus, attention, and staying calm. It’s like giving my brain a superpower boost!
ADHD UK does amazing work to support people like me. They’re working to change how ADHD is understood in the UK, fighting stigma and helping people get the support they need. They don’t get any government funding, and fundraising can be tough, so every donation really counts.
By donating, you’re helping ADHD UK continue their vital work and helping kids like me thrive. Whether it’s £1 or £10, every little bit makes a difference. My original aim was £350, but you have all been so kind (AND Linford Christie ... WOW!!!!!) and we've raised more than double that now!! I wonder if I can make it to £1000 - that would be amazing ... obviously I would like to get as much for ADHD UK as I can!
Thank you for reading my story and for cheering me on as I run to make a difference!
Let’s do this together! 🎉
