On the 8th September I'm embarking on a little adventure. I’ll be cycling from the most westerly point of the mainland to the most easterly. Ardnamurchan to Lowestoft, about 650 miles if I don't get lost!
23 or so years ago Danielle, our daughter, was struck with ME/CFS, fortunately after 7 years of struggle she made a full recovery, although it changed her life. Unfortunately my wife Tanya is now battling with The same debilitating condition and is severely limited in what she can do, although she battles on. In 2021 Tanya ran a marathon in aid of ME/CFS research, now she is having a good day if she can walk 50m.
So I’ll be doing my bit and hoping to raise some money for ME research and the MS Centre(Snowdrop) in Lochgilphead. If you are able to contribute then please do and thank you in advance. I’ll post updates on my final training days and journey progress over the next few weeks.
