In August 2026, I will be taking on the challenge of summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, with a team from the University of Warwick.
I'm doing this to raise funds in support of Alzheimer's Research UK, the UK's leading dementia research charity. Their work helps move us closer to preventing, treating and ultimately curing dementia.
Dementia currently affects nearly one million people in the UK, stripping away their memories, independence and connections with loved ones. Research offers the only hope of tackling this disease.
You can learn more about the charity's incredible work at www.alzheimersresearchuk.org
My fundraising target is £1500. 51% of the funds raised will be directly invested in Alzheimer's Research UK's mission to fund research into new treatments, diagnosis and prevention of dementia. The remaining 49% covers some of the cost of the expedition itself, which includes maintaining the beautiful national park. Anything raised over the target will go 100% to ARUK!
Thank you so much for your support!
