On Friday 4th August, I will be kicking off my next challenge in aid of fundraising for The Endometriosis Foundation.
I'll first be undertaking the standard National 3 Peaks - the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours. And in addition, I will finish Snowdon on Saturday morning and travel 400 miles straight back up to Fort William to do a second round of Ben Nevis. It will add up to around 14,500 feet of ascent.
Why am I doing Ben Nevis twice?
I made a promise to help someone with their own charity challenge, and my part was to chaperone them on Ben Nevis. Our challenge dates overlap, but I'm not planning on letting my challenge get in the way of supporting the other, which is why my 3 peaks has become 4!
This will be a massive undertaking for me and my body. I'm 99% sure there will be an endo flare, I'm 100% sure my knee will be screaming, and I am 200% sure there will be tears 😂
As someone who truly appreciates how endometriosis can turn your life upside down, I am doing this to raise funds for The Endometriosis Foundation who work tirelessly to provide much needed support and trusted information to those who really need it.
I'll be completing the challenge alongside Dr Rebecca Mallick, Consultant Gynaecologist, and David Jones, Mountain Leader.
Anything you can spare to support the challenge will be so gratefully received.
