42 marathons in 2025

Created By Jess Furness

Throughout 2025, I'm going to be trying to do 42 marathons as a way to celebrate that my brother would have turned 42 this year.

On the 15th June 2021, our world was shattered when he died in an accident that meant we will miss him forever. I've struggled a lot over the years with grief as both of our parents died far too young, but my oldest brother Eddie has always been my absolute rock. My brother, parent figure and best friend rolled into one. Although I've always known I'd trade places with him in a heartbeat, I also now know that there is a way for happiness to live alongside the grief and that's what I want to show others struggling too.

For that reason I'm raising money for big moose charity who have helped me and so many others to get therapy when they need it the most.

I'm also raising money for the Derbyshire air ambulance who were incredible and although they couldn't save him, they are amazing and are able to save so many other lives. The air ambulance aren't funded by the NHS so any donations go a long way.

I'll be splitting the funds between the 2 charities but mostly would like to raise awareness and support others as I have been supported by those closest to me. Thanks for all your support xxx
