Thanks to funds previously raised by students at Eltham College, by way of a 700-mile run, and overnight 12hour run, Personal Best Foundation opened its first Community Athletics Hub last year in Lewisham, a short distance from our school.
Motivated by this, we must keep running to raise money and extend this amazing work to new communities and inspire more young people through sport.
Miss Harding and Mr Willatt are attempting to run the Paris Marathon this Easter, to raise funds for our school’s charity partner.
PBF provide children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and communities the chance to participate and achieve their personal best through athletics.
Miss Harding said "I'm full of excitement and anxiousness as the Paris marathon approaches. Training has been challenging but am hoping it will all come together on the day. Running for Personal Best Foundation gives me a sense of purpose and is keeping me motivated. I'm mostly looking forward to running around the iconic sights and carb loading on all of the French delicacies!"
