Twelve hours to change countless young lives.
We are a group of seven Eltham College students, aged 16 to 17, undertaking a 12-hour indoor run overnight from 7pm-7am this weekend at the English Institute of Sports in Sheffield, to raise funds for our school’s charity partner, Personal Best Foundation. PBF provides children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and communities the chance to participate and achieve their personal best through athletics. Thanks to funds previously raised by students at Eltham College, by way of a 700-mile run, the Foundation opened its first Community Athletics Hub last year in Lewisham, a short distance from our school. Inspired by this, we must keep running to raise money and extend this amazing work to new communities and inspire more young people through support. It will be a real endurance challenge, and we are training hard to ensure we are fit enough on the night.
We would be delighted if you would be happy to contribute anything, however small, to help us raise money for this fantastic initiative!
