Content Creator and Video Editor needed!
Calling all creative graduates, freelancers, part timers - this is for you!
We’re looking for a content creator to become the face of givestar on social media who also has the ability to edit videos. You'd join our team on a flexible, part time basis as a contractor and will work very closely with our amazing Community Success Manager, Hannah.
After recent success (did you see all that Hardest Geezer stuff earlier this year?!), we’re keen to continue to build our presence on social media and inspire the world to do more good. Our community is our brand at givestar, and our social channels play a key role in telling their inspiring stories.
What will you do?
- Content creation: First and foremost, we want someone who can produce and star in exciting video content for our social channels, specifically tailored to resonate with our youthful target audience (additional filming support can be provided). The primary focus will be on video content for Instagram and Tiktok.
- Social first video editing: You’ll need to be an expert at editing content into engaging reels which will highlight and champion the amazing stories from our community and promote the benefits and impact of fundraising through givestar. This will involve both editing your own video content, and editing existing footage into an engaging format.
- Social identity: Actively participate in developing a strong and unique brand identity on our social media channels, this involves both visual elements and in terms of tone of voice/narrative.
- Ideation and creativity: We don’t just want to prescribe and have you make it - we want you to have creative freedom over new ideas and concepts too! We’re keen for you to stay up to date with the latest trends and pitch new content ideas, participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions and continually monitor other brand accounts for inspiration.
Is this you?
- Experience featuring in videos and being confident in front of a camera, demonstrating the ability to engage and connect with an audience (whether that be for other brands or on your own channel).
- Video production and editing experience, specifically related to social-first content with examples of past output and performance.
- Experience and own equipment required to shoot video content yourself.
- A creative flair with plenty of ideas and a drive to make your videos stand out from the crowd.
- Conscientious. Someone who takes pride in their work and has strong attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices - particularly among a young target audience.
Do you also have?
- Experience producing content for similarly youthful consumer brands
- Your own personal social media presence that showcases how much of content champ you are
This role is perfect for someone with some experience in social media and video production who’s looking to develop their skills and knowledge further, and contribute towards the growth of an exciting young brand.
We’re looking for 15 hours of your time each week which can be worked flexibly during working hours. The ability to travel to where our fundraisers are and collect content is vital as well as occasionally working from our London office if necessary.
Pay is £150/day.
To apply:
To apply, please send a self recorded video of yourself (no longer than 30 seconds) telling/showing us why you are the best person for this role. Please send videos to hannah.jacobson@givestar.io.
